Scalp
Why does my scalp feel oily the next day after washing in Miami?
Heat, humidity, and washing that is too harsh or too rare can make the scalp oily by morning. Usually you need to change the rhythm and the products for this climate. This is not a diagnosis.

In Miami the scalp can be clean at night and oily by morning. Heat and humidity do not go away. Neither does a shampoo that dries, then conditioner or oil on the roots.
People often wash less hoping the scalp will “calm down”, or wash every day with something stronger. Both can mean more oil by morning. At the consult we look at how you wash, what you leave on, and how the scalp looks. We do not name a disease.

At home we usually change how often you wash, what you wash with, and what goes on the roots. You do not need to change the whole bathroom. If the scalp hurts, has patches, or shedding scares you, see a doctor first.
